In my apartment after using cupboard locks from Europa Locks ( I decided to also go for a second main door lock from the same company. So around 10 daya back I got Europa main door lock from a Timber Store on Sarjapur Road Bangalore ( 3 dead bolt dimple keys model MRP Rs. 1135) and I was informed that company person will come and install the same which is a free service for main door locks. The shop keeper booked an installation request with company representative and (some request number was also assigned) I was updated that someone will come in 2 days. After more than a week of follow up almost every day and hearing that someone will come today/tomorrow afternoon/evening finally today I went to the shop where I got the lock and gave them the box telling that I will rather go for Godrej lock who were more responsive in terms of service in past. Finally shop keeper sent his own carpenter to get the lock installed instead of waiting for the company person any more. The same is now installed but quality/installation is not to my satisfaction as the keys feel too hard to turn both open and lock. I was told that they will get this fixed now from the company person again and I should wait.
Overall a very bad experience. Overall products quality feels good (atleast in packaging) and all the good things the company writes about the company and products on Europa Locks website and product packaging but in field and operations, quality of service this company has a long way to go to meet customer satisfaction. I would suggest stay with better known companies like Godrej or even Link Locks.

Update - After communicating with the company - the problem is now resolved and lock is now functioning to my satisfaction as updated in the comment.

I guess you are right. Europa locks say they are trying to build a service and tout 48 hour key replacement service. Try calling their numbers on the website - nobody picks up. Long way to go. A good product with no service to back up is no good.

After I sent out email to Europa management contacts as mentioned on their website, the response was quite fast and I was contacted by their Bangalore office and a technician was sent the next day who fixed the lock which is now working well. My suggestion is that they should publish their local contact numbers where customers should be able to make installation requests or any service queries. Going through dealers adds another level and chances of delay and miscommunication also increase.
could you confirm the price and the model you purchased ? It appears that a local shop in jp nagar is quoting much more for this

Europa Model number 8113IV MRP 1135 Mfg Date JAN 2010 as per the box label. The shop offered 10% discount on MRP which I then rounded off to Rs1000 and paid that. There are different models available so pricing will differ accordingly.

I contacted that service provider.After 4days one fellow called me that he is coming in the morning and he never turned up.Again I called the office and in the next day he sent person.He
attended not installed the lock saying he is not having proper tools and went back promising
he will come next day.Until l today nobody turned up and I got it installed through my carpenter by paying his charges.Public should aware of the false promises and gimmicks of the certain companies.Ramananda.

@ Vijay, it will depend on what type of keys they were. Some manufacturers provide duplicate keys if you share key and lock code with them. E.g. Europa also says that they can provide duplicate keys. http://www.europalocks.com/services.htm
In most cities there are key duplication shops and vendors/lock smiths but for that you should be having a sample key. If you do not have a sample key to duplicate then it is generally difficult but will depend on skill and experience of lock smith.
If you have lost keys and you are securing your main gate or some things valuable it is advisable to get the lock replaced which has a fresh set of keys.
They made a good decision. Well, just like my new key I felt secure from outsider.

A feedback for prospective buyers...
I bought the Europa Locks, and installed all of them into each room of my house located at Gurgaon, as I was impressed with the built quality and safety provisions in the same.
I ended up buying around 8-9 locks to be installed in my house from a shop at Gurgaon, Haryana, and I installed one on the main gate as well, but after using it for almost a year the part where key is inserted has come out, as luck would have it, I had installed another video screen camera on the same door, which was also of good quality due to which I am able to lock the house and proceed for my job.
The pictures of the lock with the key holding part hanging outside is attached herein.
My job requires me to be away without nobody at home for longer durations, and with this in mind I installed your lock in every door, but it seems that I regret my decision.
if i don't get a response from the company I would like to remove doors locks from all my doors and leave them back at the store.

On 8-8-16 i have purchased Europa lock Hexbolt in Bengaluru and on 10-08-2016 i have contacted your bengaluru office for installing lock and they have given me the work order # 60240 dated 10-8-16 and informed me that within four working days they will install the same, till date no body turned up daily i am calling your bengaluru office the are promising me that within five minutes they will call me but they will never call me i have to follow up them.
I hope you will solve the problem at the earliest.
